Camera RAW Processing / CMYK Pre-press

Desktop publishing, digital photography, and the advent of the World Wide Web have quickly and dramatically changed the way we communicate. More and more, people involved in the communications field – photographers, designers, publishers, and printers – find themselves wearing many hats throughout their workday. As photographers, we now return to our studios with gigabytes of raw camera data to backup, edit, and prepare for our clients' uses. Designers now find themselves inundated with digital files from a variety of different photographers. And printers are often left to sort it all out. As photographers and designers, we are now responsible for what used to be the work of professional photo labs and pre-press operations. In an effort to smooth this transition and to address the needs of the publishing community, we offer CMYK conversion and pre-press file prep services to photographers, artists, designers, and printers.

Every project is unique, so it is important that all parties involved communicate. When posssible, we like to start by talking to the printer and get their input. Next, we bring a photographer's eye to the project and move each file through the digital darkroom. Finally, we size and prepare the file for output and convert to CMYK color. If you don't know who will be printing the job, then we are happy to convert to Adobe Photoshop CMYK default color spaces.

We work from scans and / or digital camera files in all formats and offer the following services: Image sizing, Retouching, Generic or printer specific CMYK conversion, Up-sizing smaller digital files, Sharpening, Color reference printing, and FTP file delivery
